Any camera will take better video than a Nixon. A Nixon is a dead president. He really is not going to do much for you at this point.
As to whether a Canon or a Nikon will take better video it would depend on the model. If the models are comparable in price and features they will be about equal.
First it’s Nikon, not Nixon. Nixon was a president, not a camera. Second, it depends on the type of camera you are using. Comparing a cheap Canon to an expensive Nikon and vice versa will see extreme results. Find a camera from both groups and at the same price range and come back and ask.
Oh and I own a Canon SD 880IS and the low light pictures are really good with the flash on.
