What is wrong with my canon camera’s pictures?

I have a canon camera and it is taking very bad pictures. On the screen the color is weird and there are lines through the screen. The pictures it takes are so blurry you don’t know what it is and they are full of lines also. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

if it is an old camera, like the A75 or around there, you just need a new screen. but if it is new, then you have ther setting on auto, it sometimes does that, play around with different settings and see which ones take the best pics

First, make sure you have fresh batteries. Second, check the camera’s settings to make sure you have the proper settings for the conditions you are shooting in.
It’s possible the camera has been damaged due to either extreme heat (maybe you left it in the sun on the dashboard of your car?) or moisture, like maybe you were on vacation at the beach or near water and it got wet. If the lines you mention are vertical, that may be because of heavy overexposure. Are the lines right where there are bright light areas in the frame, like around the sun, or a bright light source? And are they vertical? If so, you may be getting “smearing” which happens when electronic imaging devices are hit with too much light.
Hard to tell, otherwise.

the sensor is going bad
it needs repaired
